Equipment & Shop Technology

Build the right capability—not just buy a machine.

Professional additive manufacturing and 3D scanning can be powerful tools for a speed shop, race team, or fabrication business—but only when the equipment matches the work. Rapid Race Products helps evaluate the technical and financial fit before your shop commits to a system.

What we help evaluate

  • Part size, geometry, tolerances, and expected volume
  • Required polymers, composites, and operating temperatures
  • IDEX, large-format, and production-workflow needs
  • 3D scanning, reverse-engineering, and inspection requirements
  • Staffing, training, maintenance, and day-to-day workflow
  • Continued RRP production versus in-house ownership
  • Hybrid production and overflow support

Equipment pathways through Contrive

Through our technical relationship with Contrive Design Innovations, RRP can connect qualified shops with professional 3D printing and scanning solutions, including Vision Miner and Mingda equipment. Equipment selection is based on the application—not on pushing the largest or most expensive system.

Once RRP has developed or validated a product, we can use the real material, print-time, part-size, and demand data to compare continued production through RRP against bringing the capability into your facility.

Three ways to move forward

  • Outsource: RRP handles repeat production while your shop focuses on customers and installation.
  • Bring production in-house: RRP and Contrive help identify equipment suited to the validated application and your broader goals.
  • Use a hybrid model: Your shop produces selected work while RRP supports design, specialty materials, overflow, and future development.

Use the Custom Projects form and include the parts or applications you want to produce, expected quantities, material needs, largest anticipated part, and whether you are considering printing, scanning, or both.

Commission disclosure: Rapid Race Products may receive a commission on equipment purchased through our referral to Contrive Design Innovations. Recommendations are based on application fit and our hands-on experience. Equipment quotations, availability, training, warranty, and support are coordinated with Contrive and confirmed before purchase.
